Not So Quiet Corners

Corners. We've all got them! Unused, unloved and (largely) ignored home real estate that could definitely use a RE-THINK. Classically these 90 degree, boxy room edges are used to collect dust, dirty washing and pet hair. Where some may simply see a meeting of plasterboard, we see a cosy nook, a design moment, a storage area or a place to add a fabulous thing.

OUTWARD BOUND Facing out rather than in gives this spot a definite daytime vibe.

GENIUS MOVE A challenging space no more with the creation of a curved banquette. We LOVE this idea so MUCH! Petite ottomans are the perfect option for additional seating here that doesn’t crowd the space.

STUDY SESSION

As we've (almost) all become accustomed to WFH in some capacity, the need for a home office space has become one of importance. HERE a bedroom corner has answered the call. An INCREDIBLE timber desk blends seamlessly into its luxe surroundings, showing that a workspace needn't appear utilitarian.

AROUND THE CORNER A converted warehouse apartment with curved walls? Not a problem. We added a mirror to highlight the original design features and amplify more recent additions. When corners enhance a room. Styling by Cooper Robinson.

IN YOUR CORNER. STUNNING detail in this bespoke, built-in console allows the piece to have exaggerated proportions while still looking elegant. Useful as a bar or buffet when dinner parties are in full swing!

EASY OPTION

Think of lighting as artwork. BOLD choices like this GORGEOUS lamp create an atmosphere and a MAJOR focal point. No shrinking violets here!

FORCE OF NATURE A grand take on the humble pot plant, why not install a potted TREE in a sunny spot. Tall, sculptural and excellent for air quality. BEST of all, it's astoundingly achievable. What better way to use that corner space!

BOOK CORNER Velvet, marble and brass details create the perfect example of a beautifully resolved elevated reading nook.

HAUTE CUISINE

Kitchens aren't generally known for their decorative opportunities. But here's the thing- REPLACE singed toasters and (be honest) RARELY used stand mixers with pretty things and treasured books. LIVING for this cool timber shelf!
